Who the hell are the Crimson Art Collective?

About us – Crimson Art Collective and your Melbourne Tattoo..

Crimson is a collaborative art studio located in sunny Footscray.
We have 4 resident tattooists, a graphic artist, several painters and a few artists of the bullshit variety of course.
Looking to score yourself some Ink, designs, a gallery space to exhibit, or a studio to work from, please donโ€™t hesitate to contact us for your Melbourne Tattoo!

So, you have researched long and hard and finally decided that Crimson Art Collective is the studio from which you want to get your tattoo. The artistry is awesome, the studio is bright and clean and the staff are welcoming.  That is why we are well known as one of the best studios to get your Melbourne Tattoo.

You have already had a consultation with your artist and booked in an appointment. But how do you best prepare for your booking??

  • Get good nightโ€™s sleep
  • Eat a good meal, making sure your sugar levels are up
  • Come well hydrated!
  • Make sure you have your ID for proof of age, and cash for payment
  • You might be sitting in the chair for several hours, so make sure you are wearing something comfortable.

We do have screens between booths for privacy but please be aware that there are often more than one person in the shop getting tattooed at a time.  Have a chat to your artist about your privacy if you are worried about being comfortable.

If your Melbourne tattoo is in a place that is a little hairy your artist may need to shave the area first to put on your stencil, you are welcome to do this prior to your appointment.

Tattoo Aftercare is incredibly important to ensure the longevity of your tattoo.ย  Please make sure you listen to your artist and follow their directions for cleaning and keeping your tattoo out of the elements.ย  Crimson Art Collective Melbourne Tattoo use and recommendย Dr Picklesย Tattoo Balm for aftercare.

One of the most important things to avoid, both before you get tattooed and after, is sunburn.  Please make sure you slip, slop, slap, if not all over just on your tattoo!
